I have updated some links on the fun and helpful page to add some Stop Motion links. Most of the information I am finding is coming from or leading me to StopMotionAnimation.com. Thank you Anthony!

Stop Motion

I went to see Coraline and I have to say, I absolutely loved it! 3 Cheers to the folks that worked on this amazing movie! The next few posts will go into the research I do on how to animate in stop motion. I hope for all of you interested, you take the time and read all the material, and do some research on you own also. This is not an artform to be taken lightly....

It's been a while, so Jump Around!
Sorry for the long lapse, but we got super busy doing superbowl ads. Framestore actually did 7 spots this year. On the whole, the Superbowl commercials weren't as good as normal, but I think our spots shined!

One of the Most Talented Artist's I Know
Danny Williams. Modeler, Sculpter. He was my professor at the School of Visual Arts, and boy let me tell you something, one talented dude! He was one of the artists I really looked to for not only inspiration, but drive. He always wanted more from us and expected the best. I wound up becoming an animator, but I tell you, I wish I had half the skill modeling that he does. I could have done really well modeling. If you have seen any one of the Blue Sky Studios movies, you are looking at Danny's amazing work. Check out his blog here:

TD College

Seems like someone took the AnimationMentor.com mold and went into another area of CG. TD College is being taught by industry TD's, lessons include, Python and Mel scripting. Seems like Houdini and Renderman classes are coming in the near future. Best of luck to those guys, looking forward to maybe taking a rigging class!
